I actually had a variation of the Main Rhythm Guitar Chord progression that I had come up with in a alternate tuning, years & years ago long before I got my first multitrack, let alone come up with the arrangement for it!
Between the last 5 takes of this & this take combined, I went thru about 50 B & high E strings, an inevitable result of doing over & over (to the point of lunatic obsession until I got them JUST right!!) the trem picking & sustained bending parts of the lead guitars!!
